The Mindful Way Out Of Worry - 8 Weeks course
Learn the skills of stress reduction in a group environment
At Greenwich psychology our aim is to help people become stronger, by taking control of their life choices, and overcoming worries, such as how common it is to feel out of your depth and alone after having a baby.
This skills group runs once a week for 8 weeks, with no more than 8 people in a private, comfortable and confidential space. The group will be run by two therapists with many years of experience in both the NHS and private practice. Based on Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and Mindfulness we will begin by learning together, how to recognise the signs of worry and how worry works.
Therapy techniques will be taught to reflect, and respond, appropriately to the topics discussed each week, such as:
Looking at how you react to worry and thinking of new ways to behave
Learning how to practice mindfulness and what works for you
Learning how to confront worry and to do things you previously avoided
All groups are run by Charted Psychologists, counselling & clinical, registered with the Health & Care Professions Council (HCPC) and we adhere to the British Psychological Society code of conduct.
You will learn what happens to us when we worry, how to manage the psychological aspect of your worry, how to engage with life in a mindful way and how to reclaim your life back.
